I am a high school who has wanted to work for McKinsey for many years. I am trying to decide Williams and UChicago for college and I would appreciate any information on which consulting firms and investments banks on the east coast look most favorably upon.

Personal preference = Williams. I hate the cold.
Very different schools. Williamstown is absolutely tiny, nothing to do there. Chicago is obviously not. Both roughly similar caliber, Chicago obviously better in quantitative disciplines. If you go to Williams (or any other liberal arts college), you'll probably have plenty of opportunity to question your choice of a career with McKinsey (which is definitely a good thing - I find it horrid to think you've not only settled on a career, but a firm, as a pre-frosh - what possibly criterion are you basing this on). I'd choose Williams, but I doubt your personality is at all like mine, so you should probably choose Chicago.
PS - Anyone who chooses Williams because they "hate the cold" has obviously never spent a winter in the Northeast
Winters in NE are bearable. The wind in Chicago is what kills. Williams is the lesser of two evils as far as I am concerned.
Edit: Sirbankalot is right. Go to Chicago. You'll probably fit in there better.

I'd go with Williams, but that's cause Chicago sucks (socially, not academically) and I hear the area's unsafe too.
I like the idea of working at McKinsey because it is a competitive, intellectually driven environment that seems to pit itself against all of the world's problems, trying to solve them for others. I am not a preppy WASP and and does this alter anyone's suggestions?
