Comp Ib vs Management Consulting in continental Europe
I am currently in the final stages of completing my Bachelor's degree in Economics at Solvay in Brussels. Following that, I have secured an internship in Asset Management in Paris (AUM) totaling 160 billion EUR. My plan is to pursue a Master's degree in Finance (IE, ESC,...) after completing my internship.
As Spain is my home country, my intention is to return there and make a career choice between Investment Banking (IB) and Management Consulting. However, I have been unable to find relevant information about the compensation and working conditions at MBB across continental Europe and if it's worth it compared to IB in a BB.
I'm also perfectly fluent both in English and French, and I don't know of going back to Spain is the best idea, considering the potentially better lifestyle compared to other European countries, but the compensation and exit opportunities might be different.
