Company keeping me on the backburner

Hello,

I am interviewing (final round) with 3 different companies. 8-9 days ago, I interviewed with the company I want to work for most, and they said they would get back to me very soon, but I have still not heard back. My guess is they are keeping me on the backburner in the hope that someone better shows up, or maybe they are interviewing someone else.

My hope is that I get an offer from one of the other 2 companies so I can use this as leverage, but obviously that is out of my hands.

How would you guys go about this ? Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

I am in a similar position to you. Once I get an offer I will accelerate the process with the others I am waiting to hear back from. They are probably interviewing more people or they have made offers already and waiting to hear back themselves.

Just keep applying and dont get hooked on just a few, it really is a numbers game.
