Contractor to full time
I am currently working as a contractor for a bank, I enjoyed the culture of the bank however they were laying off some people and I like to do a good job at whatever I am doing so they extended me numerous times. My current renew is up and I will not be renewed as my processes were moved out of the US and the new manager would prefer someone closer to them which I understand. There is now a full time position open in the office where I sit and I am taking my chance. Any advice on how I should approach the new manager? I was thinking of emailing them saying " Hello, {Introduce myself] I heard about the opening and am highly interested especially since my contract is ending at the end of March. Looking forward speaking with you... " Would this come out too strong? Anything else should I say? I am kinda nervous Thanks for helping
