Corporate banking interview help
I have an interview with a Canadian bank for a corporate banking role and while I have studied a lot recently, I still feel unprepared and somewhat nervous as this could be my last chance to land a decent role for the summer as a third-year student. The interview is supposed to be with two interviewers from the bank and while I feel ready for the behavioral aspect, I'm a bit worried about the technical part as my credit analysis knowledge isn't the best. It's the first interview, following the virtual one, and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice or tips. Thank you so much!
you mention you studied a lot, but if you feel you aren't ready, that tells me that you haven't practiced enough.
-can you build 3 statement models without breaking a sweat?
-can you mention credit metrics to focus on analyzing say investment grade vs. high yield co.?
I can build a 3 statement model due to previous experience as an ER intern, and I'm in the midst of studying more about credit analysis and I am able to answer most questions in the sellsidehandbook corp banking prep. I'm nervous because I have never interviewed for a similar position and have no idea what to expect while also fearing that this could be my last "prestigious" finance interview as a junior. Thanks for your help!
