Corporate Trust , stay or not ?

Hello all,

I am currently working for corporate trust and agency service in a well known bank. As you may know, corporate trust is a quite specialised service, which is not really relevant to investment banking or private equity etc. In the meantime i am quite sure that i am not gonna build my career here for long term.

I have graduated wihin a year and have started this role for just a few months. I am also preparing for cfa in coming months and looking for other opportunities in banking.

I need your advice that should I just quit this position and focus on job hunting and cfa, and also learn other relevant programming hard skills, especially as I’m getting more hectic at my current role. I want to spend time to get my career on the right track, but at the same time afraid this career gap isn’t good to resume.

Thanks!
