Long answer: It depends on how hard the ED is willing to pull for you. You’re not the only candidate he referred. It also depends on how involved he is in recruiting. Depends on how terrible your hirevue was, did you have a major fuckup (say anything non pc or mention the wrong firm). If you’re at a core school for the bank, how many other candidates were better than you? Do you bring anything to the firm? And other questions like that.
