Did I get the job, or am I the second choice

Basically, applied for an Investment Banking role, interviewed. Everything went great, passed the model exam, thought I aced the super-day. Was supposed to find out by Friday latest we, but heard nothing. I called the recruiter who told me that the hiring manager was busy on vacation over the week and pushed the decision to Monday (confirmed by him to an email to me Sunday saying he will make the decision this week).

It’s Monday, still have not heard anything. Does that mean I didn’t get it or am I paranoid?

Update, I did not get the job.

Why am I posting this? So others in a similar situation know what it means. I was the second choice.🤷‍♂️
