Did I ruin my chance for SA?

Hi all, I'm a rising junior going to a target school in NY (think Dyson AEM, Columbia, Stern). I have a mediocre gpa (around a 3.6) and majoring in econ.

I decided to do an internship at a Big 4 advisory in an emerging market. I've been struggling with depression and it was made worse with the environment there, I managed to do absolutely no networking. Now that school is about to start up and I'm getting therapy, I haven't even looked at applying to SA IB positions.

Is this still salvageable? If so, how should I go about it? Thank you very much. 6

Definitely have been there before too. My recommendation is to start reaching out to alum working in banking (if that is what you want to do) because at least for me, nothing beat the rush of having a good convo with them and them telling you they'll be either pushing your resume forward, or to let them know when you apply, etc.

Wish you the best man and hope you can get out of it.

3.6 is strong, don't listen to the naysayers, also with that gpa and with a target school in ny there should be little problem landing somewhere good. i agree with above, need to put in the time for OCR. brand name school won't magically get you SA IB, need to put in the effort
