Did the pandemic make it easier for non-targets to land BB roles?

Now that more and more people are leaving finance roles and are moving into more comfortable (WLB) positions, are non-targets’ chances of winning BB roles higher? I’m a first year CUNY Baruch student, finance major.

Yes and no. As someone who attends a T25 Liberal Arts college I have seen a higher rate of placement at top BBs this year for IB, S&T and AM. I landed an amazing placement as well. So I am not sure if its BB's looking more for Non-Targets or zoom helping out with being able to look up things on the spot.

UG is undergraduate. So recruitment was easier for people looking to switch jobs and work IB, but not that much easier for undergrads looking to recruit for summer analyst positions. It did make it slightly easier for college seniors to go into IB (for those who weren't given a return offer or who didn't do an internship in IB).
