Do I have a shot at Investment Banking? Please be honest

Graduated from a Non-target in 2016 NYC with a decent GPA and spent my entire career in internal audit at a BB (top 3). I am currently working in audit and doing my part-time MBA at NYU (easy enough, and did not have to take GMAT) with the intention of completing it in 2-3 years. Do you think I have a shot at investment banking? What about corp dev at a F500? Please be honest.

Abort the mba now if you are in first two years and reapply full time if you want to do banking 100%. Otherwise reach out to your alumni who pulled it off. I personally know people who were hired by very nice banks at the end of program. But you will work your ass off first.

Yes, you have a shot. Couple of short sighted comments seem to have already been posed about how you need to be in a FT program, they are incorrect. Most university MBA programs have the same recruiting opportunities for both FT and PT students, you're fine. I worked on my MBA in a PT program and completed it in 3 years and halfway through I was actually hired by a by a bank as an Associate where they allowed me to complete my program while working as a banker, most banks will want you to have your MBA first though before hiring you FT. If you're already at BB start networking with the bankers there.
