Do IB firms care about your major?
Hi,
I am currently enrolled in a reputable university, majoring in economics (CAS) and minoring in finance (Business school). I want to pursue a career in investment banking but I was researching popular majors for IB firms and they are usually finance, accounting, or business, all in business schools for prospective careers in IB. My major is in economics, which is in my school's College of arts and Sciences, and I was wondering if IB firms care that students HAVE to be in business/finance major, or if they care more about GPA, internships, etc.
Unless it’s a cracked major at a known school and you’re grades are lights out, no.
