Does taking linear algebra improve employment chances in finance? How about consulting? General thoughts on the subject.

Ok so as the title says, considering taking linear algebra or financial accounting. Probably won't end up in finance exactly but likely consulting. Also considering some data science tracks. Thoughts on the importance of linear algebra vs. financial accounting? Do employers take notice of linear algebra etc? I know this is crazy vague but no idea what I'm doing with my career right now so just trying to keep doors open and build a solid transcript.
