Early Insights Program

I submitted my resume to an early insights program and I was selected to move to the next step where I have to submit a short response.

What do I need to show about myself in the essay? Also, how competitive are these programs after making it past the resume round? Should I try reaching out to people in the company or is that not necessary?

Congrats on making it to the next step! In your short response, you'll want to showcase a few key things:

  1. Your Motivation: What drives you? What's your 'why'? This is your chance to show what's behind all your accomplishments and hard work. Dig deep and try to articulate your life mission or mantra.

  2. Leadership and Personality: They're interested in understanding your leadership style and how you handle different situations. Reflect on your past experiences and think about how they've shaped you as a leader.

  3. Contribution to the Community: Highlight your achievements, initiatives, and impacts. This could be within your team, your managers, organizations, your clients, or even extra-professional activities like clubs, sports, music, arts, politics, etc.

As for the competitiveness of these programs, it can vary widely depending on the company and the specific program. It's always a good idea to reach out to people in the company if you can. Not only can they provide valuable insights, but it also shows your initiative and genuine interest in the program.

Remember, this is your chance to let your personality shine through. Be authentic, be you. Good luck!
