My company recently blocked Gmail so I am no longer able to access my personal email account for networking/sending out job applications at work. Anyone know of a way to get around this? I live in a tiny city apartment so I usually stay late at the office to work on job stuff and study. Please help monkeys.

Thanks for the response. Emailing on my phone works in some situations but it is impossible to send attachments and makes proof-reading difficult (plus I accidently sent an email mid-sentence last week). By Wifi through VZW...do you mean paying to turn your phone into a hot-spot? Great idea thanks
Yea, you can either pay for a hotspot if you get a signal (one that exists, maybe a nearby coffee shop or hotel), tether your phone and make it a wifi signal, or buy a USB Wifi drive through either VZW or AT&T (or whoever your provider is).
Email the attachments to yourself ahead of time, that's what I do. Then you can edit and delete the FW: part on the phone etc.
And not sure why it is hard to proof-read on a phone...
This. Also, you can just create a new email message and copy and paste everything (including the attachment) and it should all transfer and attach into the new message.
Proxy websites....just google that and a few will pop up, though your company may have already blocked them
Shit you not, you could access many blocked websites at my work last summer by using https instead of http.
Does your company have a guest wifi that people visiting the office are supposed to use? My old job had one and nothing was blocked on it, so we just unplugged our network cords and hooked up through the guest wifi whenever we needed to use something that was blocked. Worth a try.
^They blocked Gmail and got rid of our guest network around the same time. I used to do exactly what you are referring to and unplug after work hours.
If you have a laptop, go to Starbucks. I recommend you use Outlook or some other email management program for your email, that way you can just sync up whenever you go to WiFi and all your messages are sent / received at once.
