Everything is Starting to Click

Current sophomore at non target. Did a freshman internship in M&A and will be a PE summer analyst this summer.

Through student orgs last year became familiar with what investment banking is, more specifically M&A. Learned the deal process, workflow, delegation of tasks, etc in my freshman internship. Got into school program sophomore fall that has allowed me to learn 3 statement, dcf, comps, precedents, M&A, and lbo and practice them through pitches and case comps. Have diligently studied technicals and gotten comfortable with behaviorals and more importantly my elevator pitch/tell me about yourself. Have been networking like crazy doing informational calls and mock interviews w alumni and peers.

Everything is starting to click and all of these concepts are coming together. I feel that I’m really starting to understand investment banking and the developing the skills/info I need to break into a full time analyst role after graduation.

All other undergrads, especially non targets, keep working and everything will come together and start making sense. Pretty exciting stuff.

Best of luck
