Excel Practice Problems
So you guys have been really awesome with me! I'm finishing my last week of job search and I have a final round "Excel test" with a fund of hedge funds.
What kinds of skills would I need? I can do pivottables, lookups, macros and VBA scripts... is there anything else I need to know? Does anyone have like an example dataset [or link to one] that would be helpful?
Thanks everyone.
sumproducts, arrays, embedded if statements, pv, irr formulas would all be useful to know... general formatting shortcuts, indirects to other worksheets/named cells, etc...
not sure how difficult it will be, but excel has so much functionality built in that it just comes over time, sounds like you're fairly well prepared tho...
Thanks Rufiolove. I have done arrays before in Java, but what would be the application in Excel? Do you know of any resources for looking at how some of these things are used?
