Fighting a first year analyst=auto-dinged?
At this BB I interviewed at, there was a first year analyst there that graduated from my uni that I got into a fight with. we hate each other. Would he have any sway over my application even though he didn't interview me? I did notice that a buddy of his that wasn't very qualified got a job there from my year.
You never really know dude.
I think you should not be concerned about these things. Just focus on the interview and the interviewers. There is no way to get around this bro.
already completed the superday and thought it went pretty well but havn't heard back yet. I also another alumn pulling for me who is on the recruiting team that is much more senior that this kid... fingers crossed!
never heard of this happening before..although i did hear of an analyst who had hooked up with a female candidate (while they were both in school)..
she got the internship but not the full time off.. maybe she didnt put out.. speaking of interoffice romance...whatever happened to poshmonkey?
Like the other people said, it's hard to say for sure. But analysts generally weigh in first on the resume screen; if this kid didn't blow you up on that, I can't imagine he'll do so later. But if you get multiple offers, you probably want to stay away from the group with someone who despises you.
Especially since he will be slightly senior and to pass work along.. See link for visual lol http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/blog/downhill-flow-illustration-0
thanks for the advice guys! this is for trading and we are most likely going to be on separate desks so it should be fine
He must have beaten your ass. If it was the other way around he would fear you and say you're a loose cannon.
If you get this offer, you need to redeem yourself. Treat your first day like it's prison and fuck this guy up asap.
