FLDP vs McKinseySolutions
Hi everybody. Last year I have graduated from Business School. After an extensive research, I have the opportunity to choose between two experiences.
The first one is a FLDP in a really large company. It is a good program with functional and geographical rotations.
The second one is about McKinsey Solutions, in particular about Periscope, that is the part of McK Solutions which deals with pricing, promotions and revenue management.
Totally different companies and fuctions. The first one is a really good program but the thing I am afraid that embarking into a finance program in a large corporation you will deal with too much accounting and I do not want to spend years to make monthly closings. Are there people did this kind of experience? When you deal in finance in a large corporation, do you make decisions on how increasing profits and losses? Or is it just make the financial statements balance and insert data in a database?
About the second, I am afraid that the exit opportunities are not so big. I think it is a strongly analytical job where you learn to deal with big data in specific sectors. I like the idea to see different realities but I want to be sure to have a strong profile even once I am out.
