Follow Up?

So for some context: I was introduced to an MD by a family friend, went for a coffee chat with him and two associate-level colleagues. All went well, got along with everyone really well and they said make sure to send your CV over and so I did.
A week later, I'm invited to a half-hour long interview with the VP and the interview went well, he said we'll circle back soon. This was around 3 weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. Should I message the MD or just give up and accept there's no hope?

Bro, who gives up without following up?

If you have the email of the VP who interviewed you. But if you are closer to the MD, you can always ask if there was any update since your interview 3 weeks ago. And how you are excited for this opportunity

If the conversations went as well as you say, then follow up, have to be proactive. Sometimes processes get delayed. But either way, keep on applying to other places and assume you didn't move to the next round, we've probably all had tons of great interview rounds that still chose another candidate.
