Freshmen Summer Internship

As a freshman at a target who is hoping to later go on to investment banking, would interning in commercial banking during my freshmen year be alright? I know a lot of freshmen do PWM internships during the summer, and although I had a few interviews for them (UBS etc.) not really excited by the prospect of doing BS work all summer. At least with the commercial banking internship I know I would be doing some relevant work and not much cold calling and general administrative work. For the most part, I would be working with the loan portfolio manager and relationship manager to analyze financial statements of smaller companies and then decide if they are worthy of loans. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
