Full Time Recruiting Thread/Advice
I made this post because I am interning at a top 5 ER shop. I am a rising senior and wanted to know the best way to go about recruiting full time. Obviously I know it’s going to be much tougher with the pandemic as well as for FT for IB in general. How much networking and when should I start? I understand that getting the return offer at my current bank is the first priority. Do resume drops work for getting interviews, without recruiting? I know that most recruiting starts in August/September. Has anyone seen any applications open? Also, if anyone has any advice for me going from ER to IB, as in how the best way I should network while I am here and the best way to talk about why I am going to IB I would really appreciate it.

I wouldn’t bank on FT recruiting this year. Return offer rates are probably going to be down a lot this year and there will be more competition from people with banking experience. If you’re at a top 5 ER firm, I wouldn’t turn down a return.
