Getting into NY IB from NYU (not Stern or finance related major)?
Have a friend that currently attends NYU, one of the smartest dudes I know. He's a freshman but already almost finished one major (History) and minor with plans to do another major, GPA is 3.9something. He was planning to do Law and has a law internship this summer but only just found out about IB a few weeks ago and seemed pretty interested. He asked me what his likelihood of being able to land a SA internship without being in Stern was. I had no idea since I go to a semi target and I would assume internships/recruiting look different at a place like NYU. Wanted to see if anyone has any insight into a situation like this. My assumption was that he would have an okay chance as long as he networked hard and learned his technicals?
