GloCap: another crappy recruiter ?

I was wondering if anyone has gotten a job using Glocap, which (although it's been around for some time) seems like another waste of time.

I found an older post http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/is-glocap-full-of-shit which doesn't give them much credit.

Glocap was formed by a Harvard Grad, Adam Zoia, and you can bet your bippy they favor Harvard grads. -after all, that's the HBS way.

Thanks.

Ive gotten a couple of interviews through them so theyre definitely legit. What mainly got me to reply in this thread though is 1. how awesome your avatar is and 2. how huge your sig is.

IMO, Glocap is terrible.

I found boutique shops to be much more personal, interactive, and actually got me in front of employers (and offers!)

Raider4Ever -I concur.

Dont think most people get success through Glocap - its annoying that you cannot even talk to recruiters over there, and makes it a complete waste of time to apply through it.

There was a FOF posting there, and I applied to it - got declined, similarly applied to the SAME FOF posting through a different recruiting service and I am in 2nd round at FOF..

So I really question on how they value professional's experience..
