Goldman Sachs Background Check - Major GPA

I am new to this forum so please excuse me if I've posted wrong somehow. I have a quick question regarding Goldman Sachs' background check. I was notified they would be extending an offer and calling me back in a week to begin the background check. My concern is that on my resume I put "Major GPA 3.4" I put that on my resume when thinking about my major and my certificate I also earned with my degree (which is also listed on my Education). My actual major GPA is 3.14. So I should have essentially put "Major/Certificate GPA 3.4." I will disclose this to them before they actually begin the background check. My question is do you think they would ultimately rescind the offer due to lack of clarity?

Is your username your e-mail address? And is that your real name?

If Goldman HR read this forum (it wouldn't surprise me), you won't have to bother informing them.

Re: mistaken GPA calculation. Can this really happen? Surely there is just one way to calculate GPA (or else your university career centre recommends one method) and all these people posting that they made a mistake are being a little misleading?

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

Does GS or the company they hire to do the background checks even take the time to go calculate major gpa? I know it's not listed on my transcripts so I'm curious if they just check my degree and cumulative and move on. It's an entry level position and grades or education wasn't brought up at all.

Are you coming from a target?

I wish i could shove my dick so far up your dick that it creates a gaping vagina, because that's who you are. Just tell them that you're a ginormous douche-canoe with a gaping vagina. They'll understand.

that background check can only check the degree and graduation date. it is mainly for criminal check and employment check. I know you sign authorization form. your college wont be willing to tell them your GPA unless you personally request it. you can ask your college registrar office to confirm. When you see your final offer, they specifically ask you to send in final transcript.Just think about it. if background check companies can see your transcript, there is no point for you to send in transcript. from what i heard, when companies ask your college about your record, they tell those companies to go on some website to check which does not include your transcript.

There is something called the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). You should look into it. You can sign a form and put it on file with your college. Whenever someone wants to pull your information, you'll be notified first and asked for permission.
