1) 35k+

2) depends on a number of factors, I'm assuming you mean a bulge bracket in NYC, that's probably around 70k

3) I hate you and love you... at the same time.

Anything over 50K entry is worth looking at in this job market. You don't have the luxury to nitpick. However, in tri-state area anything under 50K could be lowballing.

Here to learn and hopefully pass on some knowledge as well. SB if I helped.

Agree with BTbanker: ~50 and 70, respectively.

Even in mid-40's would be worth looking at - depending on your exp./degree/location/network/age/etc.

I'll do what I can to help ya'll. But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played.

In just about any city that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to live in (NYC, Chi, Cali cities, etc), 35k will give you a decent lifestyle and let you save a little bit. That's while you're single/just graduated though.

Chi is not nearly as bad as NYC, or even SanFran/LA. You can live here on 35k, but of course you won't be saving anything.

Gotcha, I always thought it was more expensive, of course I had no reason to I guess...

My girlfriend's roommate is teaching first grade. In her first year, she made $35k EBIT and she only worked 9 months and ~7 hour days. Just saying... If you're accepting $35k, you're getting screwed. (Granted, her lifetime earnings potential is much lower.)
