GPA Drop?

For context I go to a non target school. You’ve definitely heard of it, but I would say it doesn’t have a huge presence on wall street and/or banking. I fucking grinded these last two semesters for an IB internship. The hardwork paid off as I was able to land an EB in NYC (CVP/PJT/EVR). Now while I as able to secure a great job, I kind of neglected school, and as a result didn't do so hot last semester, and at the beginning of this semester. I've started to pick it back up to normal after securing my offer, but there's one class that I'm on pace to end with a C- in this semester and that would add to my already declining GPA. I did the grade calculation and my gpa is expected to be a 3.64 at the end of the semester. So I have some options, I can withdraw from this class and my GPA will be in the high 3.7s after this semester. It will cost a couple hundred dollars but I'm on scholarship so the money isn't the issue, it's more so I can't do it without my parents finding out, and they would be pissed as they don't really understand what landing IB is. I can also obviously just take the GPA hit but I am already kind of scared as everyone at this bank probably has a 4.0 and came from a target, and I've heard the horrors of offers being rescinded etc. Any advice on what I should do?

I’m curious to see if this is a process that happens at every bank. Do they ask for a transcript or just contact the school directly to verify if ur just a student

Have no clue tbh, from what I’ve heard and read, some banks ask for your transcript in the application, some ask after you sign, some lowkey don’t even ask at all. It’s really a crapshoot.

one W doesn't matter, withdraw ASAP. For example I withdrew from a class I knew that I was going to get a B in

It’s not really about them getting mad it’s more so I’m not tryna hear the lecture, and having to justify myself withdrawing with me getting an offer that they just won’t understand is prestigious. But I get your point. For the record I guess it doesn’t look that bad since first of all I’m a statistics major so I feel like the gpa drop doesn’t look as bad, and to your point abt my school, it’s not a target for IB at all, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s lower tier B10. Am going to withdraw next week most likely, just to be safe.
