GPA matters????

If I am a sophomore transfer with no GPA how bad is that for programs and what not? How does one semester of GPA hurt me? Lastly, if I had a really good GPA at my last school 3.9-4.0 would it be smart to just merge them? I ask this because I am trying to narrow down why I am being denied from internships and what not.

I have no clubs. No true finance internships (small regional retail bank/PWM) I goto a target Have good EC otherwise good gpa at my last institution Really strong non finance experience Mixed bag for networking

That’s what I am doing currently but am still lacking any traction on sophomore year internships. I should have a GPA soon and it’s look pretty decent (3.6-3.8) but overall I just want to figure out what I am lacking before the IB apps start dropping and get it squared away

For now I am just recruiting for sophomore internships. Which I have not gotten an offer yet, or from clubs at my school. I just don’t know what my resume is lacking or if it’s like networking related. Really I am trying to see if there is anything glaringly obvious that I am missing(in terms of expectations).
