GS - TMT, FIG, and HC interviews

I have a final round interview for SA with GS' TMT, FIG, and HC. Can anyone who has been through these finance interviews share what their experience was like as well as what were the questions that gave you trouble.

know deals that each group might've done recently

otherwise, there are some group specific questions they might ask ie: if you interview with derivatives in financing group, they might ask you questions about interest rates/swaps if you interview with an industry group, there might be some multiples/ratios that are key to that industry

so, if you know before hand what groups you're interviewing with, looking into these kind of these things will definitely impress them

i'm talking with only experience going through FT interviews, but these could help you with SA interviews

I suggest learning the Valuation section of the Vault guide to Finance Interviews by heart. In only one interview with FIG, I got asked everything technical, starting with accounting, and continuing with accretion/dillution, offer negociation etc. I did hear that many other people had mostly behavioral/fit interviews though.

I didn't get asked anything like the classic why gs, why you, top strengths/weaknesses. Rather, try to indirectly include your top selling points in your answers, they won't make it easy for you.
