Has anyone actually cold-emailed a senior executive at a bank, and was there any response?

Obvious things like "you're probably not getting a response" aside, has anyone actually cold-emailed a senior person at a well-known investment bank, or even gotten a response? I'm talking like C-Suite or Division Head, and without previously knowing them. Of course these people have much more important things to do, than answer junior guys looking for jobs and advice, but would be interesting to hear from someone who actually took the shot.

I emailed Lloyd Blankfein this past spring and he responded almost immediately! At first I was skeptical of such a bold networking tactic, but I am so glad I went for it. Lloyd was so impressed with my initiative that he decided to resign from CEO in Spring '18 and offer me his position on the spot. Amazing! I was super excited to update my LinkedIn headline when I was offered the job.

WSO is adamant on networking hard, and this only has reinforced this notion. Cheers mate!
