[HELP] Doing Two Internships at Once?

Hello, freshman at a target here. I managed to get two internships but they overlap. One is a very small private equity firm and one is also a small IB firm. Both have their mutually exclusive advantages/disadvantages.

If I do both at the same time (their start/end times overlap and also overlap a bit with college) will I be seen negatively by recruiters in the future, or will they not mind it?

Could it potentially be a good thing? (Managing both internships and school and clubs at the same time indicates strong work ethic/time management)

I've looked online and there doesn't seem to be a good consensus (some people say it makes recruiters question you and wonder if you did any substantial work during your internships, while some say it doesn't matter).

If I chose one, which one sounds better on my resume? (If more context is needed, I'll provide it)

Please let me know your thoughts.

Problem is I don’t know if the recruiters see it as me working hard and using time management well or if they view it as me not doing substantial work (since start month end month overlaps)

I fall into the category of wondering if you really did anything of substance / how many hours a week you worked. It's also kind of an ethical issue - potential conflict of interest and the firms probably wouldn't agree to this if they knew about it.

Can you ask one of them to move to an off-cycle semester internship? Otherwise I would just pick whichever one you prefer

If i could choose one which one would it be? The private equity firm is very recent and very small, but gives me experience with modeling. The investment banking one is a small boutique (lower middle market), but allows me to get some "M&A" experience whatever that means.
