Help - Recent college graduate
I'm a recent college graduate and I have no investment banking or corporate finance experience. I worked in retail banking, and I graduated with a degree in finance from a less than reputable college. I clearly understand I will have little to no luck finding a job in the industry (I'm not naive) so I'm thinking about taking the CMT (certified market technician) exam. I'm doing so due to it being fairly less expensive to test for compared to a CFA designation and also the test are given twice a year in close succession. My goal is to pass CMT level 1&2 and hopefully get my foot in the door. Do you think I'm wasting my time with the CMT designation and does anyone have any constructive criticism that can help me on my quest to infiltrate the industry?
