How best to explain no return offer when the reasoning was culture/fit?
I recently completed an internship and unfortunately didn’t receive a return offer due to culture/fit (my feedback on work/attitude was very positive).
I didn’t want to return FT in the team I interned in and wanted to move internally to a different team and feel perhaps one of my team picked up on this ( I was networking more with other teams) and so said I wasn’t a fit.
How best could I explain this when asked why I didn’t receive a return offer in interviews?

How can you not 'fit' in when your attitude was great?
Come up with another reason. Culture / fit is a red flag. If I was you, I would just blame headcount. You did everything right and had good feedback but unfortunately there was no headcount. In a market like this, no one will start asking questions.
Even using HC is iffy since people tend to sniff out bs answers if they know others at banks.
