How do you network / recruit once your fulltime?

Graduating this semester with a BB offer, not interested in on-cycle so will prob be recruiting after 1-3 years.

As a student you can reach out to basically anyone, and it's okay, but how does it differ when working? Only school alum/people you personally know? No cold calls? Only headhunters? How do you actually meet with them / interview while working?

How do you prevent your bosses hearing /rumours from going around? Especially in cities with small finance circles
