How important is connection to get into BB asset management/ investment banking
On a very rare occasion, i manage to connect with the chief strategist of the asset management team and the person is willing to be my referee, I wonder how helpful this connection is if i am applying for internship of the same department and if i am applying for a different department like the research team. Especially the market seems to be horrible at the moment
