How long does it usually take Goldman to give offers to new analysts?

I interviewed today in the Jersey City office. For anyone who has been through the analyst interview process how long does it typically take for Goldman to contact you?

Usually you get the offer directly from the group or your contact, but it could come from HR as well. Anytime within the next week is possible for an offer to be made. If you don't get anything by the end of next week, I'd follow up with HR and see how the process is going.

Don't mean to be so detailed, but is the offer made usually by phone or email? Also, do rejection notifications come in the form of a phone call as well?

In my experience, the better you know the person the more likely they are to phone with the offer. HR typically calls. But it could come via e-mail as well. This one varies.

Rejections are a toss-up. Sometimes firms won't even notify rejections of their decision. Rejections made by call are almost always by HR. E-mail is a possibility, but really the style of rejection is varied based on the firm.

congrats on the interview. as an aside was the interview set up by your school/recuiter/online app??? thanks!

I've seen time frames anywhere from next day day to following month.

By phone, generally within 24 business-day hours. I'd give it til monday evening before you start getting depressed. They wont call over the weekend, most likely.

Also, if they didnt do a superday setup, they may still be doing interviews. In which case, id' give it at least a week.

Are rejections usually on the same day as well? Are they via email or phone?
