How much will internship experience help with bad gpa?
I have a 3.5 at target (hopefully 3.7 by the time recruiting comes around) as a rising sophomore non divserity. I'll have 4-6 relevant finance internships by the time I go into recruiting at small-medium, non search fund IB, PE, VC, and AM firms. How much will this help if I'm trying to go for BB/EB IB roles?
Here’s how to think about your recruiting. If you get an interview everything else before that is thrown out the window, it’s how you perform. If you have something stopping you from getting an interview, you will have to do something to overcome that. But if you get that interview, they will evaluate how you do in the process.
But wouldn't the experience help with the resume screening + other processes before interview selection? Also, wouldn't the internships help during the interview because they can ask about your resume/experiences?
