How persistent do you have to be with recruiters?
I met a recruiter at an event the other day and he seemed pretty interested in me. He kinda shrugged the other kids off but told me specifically that we should definitely talk more several times and that there may be opportunities at the firm for me. I was interested and ended up emailing him to set up a chat but he switched up. I had to send out multiple emails to get a time set up because he would not respond. When the time came for our chat, he forgot that we were supposed to speak. He said he was going to reschedule our call for this week last Monday but I still have not heard anything. I don't want to have to force someone to chat with me and even though I am pretty interested in the firm (it's a top EB), I have other great opportunities lined up. Should I give it one last try or let it go?
(I remember a recruiter a couple years ago telling me that recruiting is like dating and I've never forgotten that because it's so true haha.)
I would say give them one more follow up and then if you don't hear back, let it go. It could be perhaps that EB's are in the middle of recruiting so they could have their hands full right now but who knows
