How soon is too soon to follow up after an interview?
For context, I interviewed for a role late last week and I think it went well. Although I did send a thank you email a couple hours later, I didn't hear anything back which is fine. People are busy, and I'm not going to read too much into that. In saying that, I haven't heard anything from anyone on the team yet and really want the job. While I think the standard waiting period is 1 week, does reaching out a little sooner improve my chances at getting the role or hurt them as it just makes me look impatient? Is there a point where I go from looking impatient to seeming very motivated?
