On paper, I'm a recent grad with BS in Mechanical Engineering from a respected institution; good GPA & many extracurricular ventures. Between the lines, I am captivated by the pace & stakes of business on the exchange platform, and am driven to obtain a job in this atmosphere. While I lack an MBA, I have taken academic finance tracks and spent free time researching trade/fund/equity fundamentals. My background is a hybrid of mechanical/electrical/IT experience, & so apprehending upsides in the tech sector is an area where I think I may achieve. At the same time, I have no real window into this world, and would appreciate any advice regarding direction for someone like me. I understand that, without a friend, just about every wall street rookie is humbled in debut. With that said (& having read some of the novice-related threads on here), I have real options & multiple offers so far in terms of a career, so go ahead and tell me I don't belong etc..(as long as you know anyone that likes the dogshit comment you think up with will also be losing sleep over their own insecurities tonight).. So, I am obviously looking for real advice. If you have any actual tips, they are truly appreciated. Thank you.
