Get an MBA at a top school. Your prior product management experience at a Fortune 500 company makes you a strong candidate provided you have good grades in your prior degrees as well.
T15 MBA. PE at $1b+ fund in an investments role impossible. PE at a LMM fund might be possible if very operationally focused. PE operations possible given your product mgmt background. in any path, need top MBA.
Another option is to join the military for 3 years (preferably doing something more selective/interesting), then get an MBA while on the GI Bill (covers all expenses including housing) and recruit for associate. If you have an uninteresting background, military service will help bolster life/work experience while also providing a pathway to a top 15 MBA with little to no debt. Good luck.
Agree, this is an interesting path. 30 is a little old to start this (you'll be ~36 starting at associate) but still very doable
Realistically though, I don't think the IB/PE path is at all worth it for you OP unless you can get into M7 very quickly (high undergrad gpa, good work experience, GMAT done easily, recs ready to go)
