How to break into DC commercial real estate brokerage from scratch?
I have been working as a nutritionist assistant at a student hospital for the past two years out of undergrad. I recently moved out of state into DC in the past week and have given myself a month to set up new apartment. I am intent on switching career tracks and breaking into the commercial real estate industry here as a broker.
Honestly where should I start? Do I need to get certified through somewhere or should I be looking at firing out coffee meetings/emails? I don't have much carryover contacts/transferrable skills from my hospital's department, but with just fixing up my home I can spare all my time trying to break into the field full time.
