How to Break into IB FT Despite not doing a SA Stint

I would appreciate any advice you all could give about how to best go about recruiting for IB FT despite not completing a SA stint. What does the timeline look like for 2021 FT roles and what could I do to maximize my chances of landing an offer. For some context, I come from what is considered to be a target for most banks and I had received an IB SA role at a MM firm, but it was cancelled due to COVID-19. Any advice would be much appreciated.

This year is weird because of the whole COVID situation. Best advice is to network, apply in August and keep your eyes open on Handshake and LinkedIn for anything to pop up. A lot of us are assuming that hiring will pick up next year when deal flow goes back up though I can't guarantee it. Best of luck.

Thanks for your help. Any idea about what else I could to do to best position myself for FT recruiting? I ask b/c I feel for next year there will be fewer spots open for FT hires and it will be mostly filled up by the SA class.
