How to learn Excel & PowerPoint before internship

Hi, I will be interning in investment banking this summer and I want to get really good at excel and PowerPoint before I start.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some good resources to learn? Preferably that would have me practicing in a very similar way to what I would actually be doing at an investment bank. I.e. actually building models and designing clean IB style PowerPoint slides.

I have very little previous experience using either program; how many weeks do you think it would take me to be at a solid level, say, if I were to put in 2 hours a day?

Thanks

Look excel functions and get good at doing that. Understand the shortcuts and it will save you a lot of time. Look up the best custom ribbon for banking in excel, that will help you immensely. If you can come into the internship using Excel without a mouse that is huge.

I thought that being able to use excel without a mouse was a baseline requirement - so that’s good to know!
