How to level up my networking game?

I am a penultimate finance student at a non target school. I want to work in high finance after graduating. Therefore, I realize the needs of networking and I have been networking quite a lot in the few past months, but mostly are done thorugh a quick call. I am wondering what could I do to level up the networking game and make sure the person I am networking with will remember me.

Is it okay to ask for a face to face coffee chat after the quick call? (Especially noting that many of them is super busy). Moreover, after networking for quite a lot, I found it hard to come up with a unique question as I feel most of them is going to be the same.

Please give me recommendation on questions that could be asked as well. Thanks!

any advice on how to mix in for-fun/personal questions? my calls tend to be me asking questions that are solely about work or industry which feels surface level to me.

Bump, also curious. How do y'all go about the more industry focussed questions? it feels stupid asking them because they can usually only tell you what you can already find on the internet in the 20 mins they offer you. Should i just stick to questions about their career?
