How to proceed with recruitment...

Hey,

I am looking for some advice on how to prooceed with my situation. I am currently recruiting for a company that called to do a phone interview with me last Monday. It went well, and I received another call from a higher up that afternoon. We scheduled for another phone interview the next day (Tuesday of last week). We set a time and he told me he would be calling me. He never called me. I called him on Wednsday morning to see what happened and left a voicemail. He called me back on Thursday, but I could not answer the phone. He did not leave a voicemail. I called him back that afternoon and left him a VM. On Friday, I left another voicemail just seeing if we could touch base. Nothing from that. I called today and did not leave a voicemail, no one picked up.

I do not want to seem too pushy, but man we had an interview time scheduled, they missed it and no one has tried to get in touch with me. How long should I wait before calling again? I feel like I just want to call every day until I can reach him and move on with the process or he picks up and tells me to GTF lost.

Should I call everyday or back off and try at the end of the week?

I think you should continue to try and reach him, but try for better times such as later in the afternoon. but don't leave voice mails because they can be construed as annoying. there might have been some kind of misunderstanding, so you should get in touch with them to sort things out.

also if you have access to hr, you can try getting a hold of them instead.

If you have his e-mail, I'd try that. Also try getting in touch with HR or the recruiting people. If these aren't a possibility, you should probably just try calling every few days, but don't leave a voicemail. Try different times during the day too.

Definitely keep trying until you get a clear rejection, but also don't put all your eggs in one basket so to speak.
