IB Disability Programs
I have a couple of arrhythmias that sometimes cause me to pass out, experience extreme shortness of breath, and not be able to focus (I have to take a break until I can slow my heart down and get things under control). I know a lot of BB have Disability Programs for recruiting, so does anyone who works at a bank have feedback as to whether this is a 'valid' disability? I don't want to seem like I'm exaggerating my condition just for the job since I don't seem disabled and it's not obvious that I have a disability just by looking at me. I'm coming from a non-target with a 3.8 and a decent number of involvements.
I attended two diversity events targeted at students with disabilities this past spring. I can attest that the majority of people there had non-visible disabilities so don't worry about them questioning you about it. I'm pretty sure it's also illegal for them to ask since you're the one with the right to disclose or not. Definitely apply to these programs as they are good networking experiences. I will say as someone gunning for IB, there were not a lot of IB employees present to network with so you may have to work extra hard there. The event looks good on your resume though.
Dude IB induces arrhythmia / panic attacks - kids go in normal and start getting these problems plus insomnia, gain weight etc. just something for you to think about...
