If you apply for a role and don't get it then apply again to the same firm a year or two later, is there any kind of positive or negative view from the hiring team towards that candidate?
I have always been curious how the hiring team or a specific group feels when you did your initial networking, talk to everyone on the team, and for whatever reason the position goes to someone else, then later reach out a couple years later still trying to join the team. I have always felt awkward about that. Am I overthinking it and no one really thinks so? Is it even a positive because the team already knows you?
Our firm welcomes both boomerang applicants and also employees. There is no problem with it, especially if the candidate developed through the period in between applications. They may have additional certifications, degrees, or work experience.
