Internship advice

Currently in the process of interviewing for an internship and I'm looking to make a career switch to IB. I'm currently making 60k so I'm really looking at the prospect of an internship which then converts into FT (assuming all goes well).

In my current interview, they said typically the conversion rate is 0% because in the past the firm was very small and interns stay on for as long as they want/earn (typically its for people still in Uni) and interns only work 30hrs/week part-time. They keep interns year-round and typically like to hire Analysts with other analyst background and not directly out of internship. So I'm sure you guys can kind of see my crossroads issue here - is an internship like this even worth leaving my current gig for or should I wait for a more typical internship.
