Internship dilemma vs Unemployment Gap
Hello, I have been accepted for a 6 month internship in an international consultancy for a finance research role. For background, I have a master’s degree in finance and accounting and currently searching for opportunities in TS, IB and consulting. This internship is heavily research oriented as i wouldn’t be doing any financial modelling or number crunching, and I don’t know if this experience will be relevant for my desired industries, which is why I’m afraid it’ll set me back and have to intern again in a more direct related role to better my chances for landing a job. My incentive for accepting is break the gap in my resume and be active but long term I don’t know if it is worth it. Any advice or takes?
